SplitScreen Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-04-01
This policy explains how SplitScreen handles information. The current version mainly works on the local device and does not rely on developer-operated cloud services.
1. Information We Process
- Visible window titles, process IDs, class names, positions, and sizes
- Display names, resolutions, work areas, and primary display status
- Local settings such as language and interface preferences
- Local preview content used only inside the application UI
2. How We Use Information
- To list and identify windows that can be bound
- To arrange windows into layout zones
- To save and restore local preferences
- To present preview and status information in the interface
3. Sharing and Transfers
The current version does not proactively upload this information to developer servers and does not sell personal data.
4. Local Storage and Retention
Most data is used temporarily in device memory. Local settings remain on the device until the app is removed, files are deleted manually, or later versions overwrite them.
5. Third-Party Services and System Components
SplitScreen uses Windows system APIs for window enumeration, display detection, and layout behavior.
